Principals, assistant principals, and clinicians from all of Mahopac's schools got together at the Falls School last week with Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES Regional Safety Coordinator Frank Guglieri for Threat Assessment Training. The District will be implementing Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) at all levels to identify and address threats before they manifest as a part of the District's commitment to ensuring the safety of its students and staff.
"CSTAG is a threat assessment tool that we're implementing on a district-wide level," said Administrator K-12 for Safety, Security and Compliance Troy Bilyeu. "Today, we are laying the foundation for a process that will be used in all buildings district-wide. This process will be carried out by our Triage Teams at each school. These teams are made up of an administrator, a school resource officer, and a clinician. The team would be activated to address possible threats and to establish a centralized method of communicating about possible threats within each school."
